Four employees are based out of our office near historic Ellijay, Georgia. They administer our programs and are the point of contact for the general public. You are welcome to stop in and buy a t-shirt, process your membership, or just say hello.

Wayne Jenkins, Executive Director
Wayne is the perfect balance of visionary and shepherd needed to administer Georgia ForestWatch programming and inspire action. He is beloved and respected by the staff, board, district leaders, members and the larger conservation community. He has been associated with Georgia ForestWatch for much of its 20 year history, having been an early activist volunteer, district leader, and eventual board member.
Lori Martell, Outreach Director
Lori brings extensive experience to her position, having been an environmental educator, graphic designer, writer/editor, public speaker, organic farmer, business manager and franchise developer. She is a passionate organic gardener and serves as a volunteer on the Ellijay Farmers Market steering committee.
Kathy Herrygers, Office Manager
Kathy is our nuts and bolts guru. She keeps our office running smoothly, with an unmatched attention to detail and the skills of a long history in communications sector management. She is a warm and compassionate person, volunteering hours each week to a local animal shelter. Kathy also has an knack for taking life's daily experiences and crafting them into wonderfully entertaining stories.
Darren Wolfgang, Forest Ecologist
We welcome the newest addition to our team, all the way from Pennsylvania. Darren holds a degree in forestry with additional training in fisheries management. He may be a "yankee" but rumor has it he's got a terrible weakness for southern pit BBQ! His interests include fishing, camping, archery, gardening, cooking, history and politics.
