
The weather didn't cooperate for Joe's year end hike so we're again offering this exciting outing.
Joe will lead the group to a historic Native American site: a pre-European “rock house” and natural cliffs community area.

Meeting time, place and directions:
9:30 a.m. Bank of America building in Highlands, North Carolina. (Car pools from Clayton should leave no later than 8:45 a.m.) From Highlands, we'll shuttle to the trailhead (about 12 miles round trip).
Outing Location:
Outside of Highlands, North Carolina
Distance & Difficulty:
7 miles round trip loop. Moderate.
USGS Quadrangle:
Highlands, Satolah and Tamassee
Bring:
Lunch, water, rain gear, walking staff if needed, and appropriate clothing and footwear. Camera if desired. (Allergic to bees/wasps? Remember your meds/epi-pen)

Reservations required. This outing is free of charge, and open to everyone “first come, first served” up to the limit. Sign-up Deadline: 3pm Thurs prior to outing - but outings tend to fill up long before the deadline.
