Meeting Time, Place, and Directions:
Meet 1 p.m., Sunday, July 10, at the intersection of US 76 West/Popcorn Road & State Route 197, about 2 miles west of Lake Burton. This is about 20 minutes driving time from Clayton, and 30 minutes each from Clarkesville or Hiawassee. Or, meet at the trailhead, at 1:15 pm., at the end of Forest Service Road No. 127 (FS 165A on quad map), which goes directly west from the Lake Burton Fish Hatchery and Moccasin Creek State Park.

Distance and Difficulty:
Approximately 4 miles, in and out. Easy-to-moderate, with very little elevation gain. We follow an old logging road and then a well-defined hiking trail to the falls.
Limit:
12 hikers Bring: Snack, water, rain gear, and appropriate clothing and footwear, walking sticks, river sandals if you decide to get wet, etc. (Allergic to bees/wasps? Remember your meds/epi-pen)
Cancellation: Hikers will be notified if hike is canceled due to forecast of severe weather, etc.
